In Friday, April 1st, 2011, I presented my artist-talk, Object/Fetish: Staging the Suspension of Disbelief in Every Day Life at the University of Connecticut in Storrs for the Puppetry and Postdramatic Performance Conference.

On November 18th, 2010, I was a guest teacher for Susan Simpson’s History of American Puppet Theater course at CalArts through the Cotsen Center for Puppetry and the Arts. For this class which included a mixture of graduate and undergraduate students, I presented my multi-media artist-talk, Object/Fetish: Staging the Suspension of Disbelief in Every Day Life.

On May 15th, 2009 I earned my MFA degree from California Institute for the Arts (CalArts) in Scenic Design in the Puppetry track from the Theater School and the Cotsen Center for Puppetry and the Arts. I attended CalArts between 2006-2009 under the mentorship of Janie Geiser and Susan Simpson and developed two major productions, Growing Up Linda and Bride of Wildenstein – The Musical,.
In September 1997, Kathleen O’Shea and I collaborated on The Program, an installation for Hybrid exhibition at Gallery 2 in Chicago. For the installation we created low-tech animatronic stuffed animals who converse with one another about an incident they witnessed.
