In organizing the Kickstarter campaign for Object of Her Affection, I’ve been reflecting on the inspiration that led to the performance.  I’ve been developing the ideas behind Object of Her Affection for a while: Back in 2010 –  my wheels started spinning when I stumbled upon footage of a woman who wanted to marry an amusement park ride.

Object of Her Affection – Kickstarter Update:
2 days and already halfway there!

Just 2 days ago in the middle of the night, I launched a Kickstarter for a 3-week run of Object of Her Affection at Automata in Los Angeles as part of LAX Festival. Object of Her Affection is an object and puppet-based performance centered on a woman, who in her search for true love, develops intimate relationships with inanimate objects.

Foundation for Contemporary Arts (support)

I am delighted to announce that I will be the recipient of a Foundation for Contemporary Arts Emergency Grant, which will support performances of Object of Her Affection at Automata as part of LAX Festival.  Object of Her Affection is a solo object and puppet-based performance art piece centered on a woman, who in her search for true love develops intimate relationships with inanimate objects. There will be twelve performances over three weekends from September 27th and October 14th.  Details will be coming soon.

The Feeder, Portland OR (performance)

The weekend of October 15th, 2016, I performed The Feedera short tabletop puppetry piece about a man on the run after accidentally feeding his wife to death at  The  Echo Theatre in Portland, OR. There were two shows: Saturday, October 15th and Sunday October 16th as part of Beady Little Eyes Puppet Slam.

On  June 12th and 13th, 2015, I performed The Feeder, a short solo tabletop puppetry piece that explores the unintended consequences of a complicated relationship. The narrative is centered on the surviving partner of a gainer and feeder couple, who is on the run after accidentally feeding his spouse to death.
