On April 8, 2019, Genie Davis reviewed Stuck Together: Marsian De Lellis, Simone Gad, Debra Broz in “Stuck Together Repurposes And Becomes Richly Subversive” for Riot Material.
Stuck Together: Simone Gad, Marsian De Lellis, + Debra Broz opens at Track 16 on Saturday, May 16th from 7-10PM. The exhibition features oozing dolls from my (In) Animate Objects collection, Debra Broz’s mutant ceramic bunnies, and Simone Gad’s rescue pinups.

On November 2, 2018, Jacki Apple wrote Love Lost and the Enchantment of Objects, a critical essay on my performance, Object of Her Affection, for Fabrik in her column, Peripheral Visions: Perspectives on Performance, Media and Culture.
On October 8, 2018, Downtown News featured Object of Her Affection in their ‘Don’t Miss’ List by Sean P. Thomas. Object of Her Affection is a solo object and puppet-based performance art piece centered on a woman, who in her search for true love develops intimate relationships with inanimate objects.

2 days and already halfway there!
Just 2 days ago in the middle of the night, I launched a Kickstarter for a 3-week run of Object of Her Affection at Automata in Los Angeles as part of LAX Festival. Object of Her Affection is an object and puppet-based performance centered on a woman, who in her search for true love, develops intimate relationships with inanimate objects.
I am delighted to announce that I will be the recipient of a Foundation for Contemporary Arts Emergency Grant, which will support performances of Object of Her Affection at Automata as part of LAX Festival. Object of Her Affection is a solo object and puppet-based performance art piece centered on a woman, who in her search for true love develops intimate relationships with inanimate objects. There will be twelve performances over three weekends from September 27th and October 14th. Details will be coming soon.
On January 29, 2018, I was at the ACE Hotel for LA STAGE Alliance’s Ovation Awards as a finalist for Center Theatre Group’s Sherwood Award along with Hana Kim and Gina Young. The Sherwood Award for emerging theatre artists is awarded each year to an innovative and adventurous Los Angeles-based theatre artist of promise.

Today, the Center Theatre Group announced three finalists in the Richard E. Sherwood Award, which included Gina Young and Hana Kim, and myself.
