I designed and fabricated an operational ventriloquist dummy and a doll for the sports comedy reality pilot, That EFFN Show, shot on September 15th, 2013. The ventriloquist dummy was supposed to be in the likeness of Peyton Manning as Frankenstein, while the prop doll was made to resemble, one of the hosts, comedian Sean O’Conner in the style of Chuckie, the protagonist from the Child’s Play franchise. The Gunman, Brooklyn (screening)
On Thursday, July 18th, 2013 at 7:00PM, my ultra-short puppet animation film, “The Gunman” was screened at Standard ToyKraft as part of “Summer Cinema Presents: Glen or Glenda”. The pre-show line up (curated by Jessica Scott) also included films by Daphne Gardner, Beau Brown and Trey Kirchoff. I animated “The Gunman” in 2007 using found objects, figurines, and toys, with drawings by Katie Shook, and assistance from Laura Heit and Dillon Markey.

UNIMA-USA, Board of Directors (organizational)
In the Spring of 2012 I was elected to the Board of Directors for UNIMA-USA. My term ran from July 2012- August 2015. While on the Board, I served as Secretary and the inaugural Social Media chair. Based in Atlanta at the Center for Puppetry Arts, UNIMA-USA is the North American Center of Union Internationale de la Marionnette, the oldest international theatre organization in the world. UNIMA-USA’s mission is to promote international understanding and friendship through the art of puppetry.

The Puppetry Journal (Press)
In the Spring of 2012, The Puppetry Journal ran a substantive cover story on the world of puppet slams, featuring my work as co-founder of The Puppet Slam Network and my interviews with puppet slam artists. The Puppet Slam Network fostered connections for independently produced puppet cabarets, so that puppet artists knew where they could perform, venues could find puppet artists, and audiences could enjoy an intimate, tactile, and compelling form of entertainment. On April 27 8-10pm, I presented my Artist Talk at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore for Valeska Populoh’s graduating class in the Fiber Department. While at MICA I spoke about performances like Growing Up Linda and Bride of Wildenstein – The Musical.
This artist talk was made in conjunction with my performance, Fudgie’s Death at the 14Karat Cabaret and my presentation Object/Fetish at a salon/art party in the H&H Arts Building as part of the 2011 Transmodern Festival.

On March 13th, 2011 at 9:00PM, I presented my multi-media artist-talk, Object/Fetish: Staging the Suspension of Disbelief in Every Day Life at Club Sapien, a short-lived inclusive queer nightclub known for its community outrech in Calgary. My presentation of Object/Fetish was made in conjunction with the Calgary Animated Object Society (CAOS) and their International Festival of Animated Objects.
