From December 10th, 2003 – January 9th, 2004, I exhibited photographic portraits of pharmaceuticals form the Side Effects series at the Woods-Gerry Gallery in Providence. The pieces I exhibited were Large Zyprexa #46, Large Abilify #6Large Serequil #11.  Each  print was 24.5″ x 24.5″. The exhibition was part of the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) Staff Show, where I was working as an artist model.

On November 14th, 2002, Strings Attached, my exhibition of puppet portraits opened at Tealuxe in Providence, Rhode Island. In conjunction with the exhibition of puppet photographs were a collection of teapots and tea cozies made by local artists that I curated. Strings Attached ran through January 31st, 2002.

Month of Meow (exhibition)

On September 1, 2002 – Novemver 1st, 2002,  I exhibited Month of Meow at the Wayland Square Starbucks in Providence, Rhode Island. In Month of Meow, I took a Polaroid of my cat, Meow Meow every day in the fall of 2000 in Chicago. Over the course of the project, I noticed that Meow Meow became more performative over the course of the month and our relationship as pet-guardian/pet evolved

School of the Art Institute of Chicago, BFA (education)

In May 2001, I graduated from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) with a BFA in Studio Art. At the graduation ceremony, DJ Spooky was a featured speaker and was awarded an honorary degree. While at SAIC, my focus was in Transdisciplinary Studies with a concentration on performance and puppetry.

On March 24th, 1998, Windy City Times included on their cover images and a write up of Day of Beauty and Ritual, which I curated with Kathleen O’Shea and Kokoe Johnson. Day of Beauty was a performance art circus celebrating spring as a time of rebirth, renewal and rejuvenation through a collection of performances, installations, and unique beauty treatments, climaxing with the Spring Equinox Ritual.

On December 19th and 20th, 1997, I collaborated with Kathleen “Snatchleen” O’Shea on our performance, Heavy Petting – The Holiday Classic Tail at Gallery 2 in Chicago. In Heavy Petting, Twinkie and Star Giovanni recounted their run in with a petting zoo at an alien controlled compound through found slides projections.
