On June 14, 2012 Patrick Bristow (Ellen, Showgirls) was a guest on Feast of Fun, a Chicago-based LGBTQ comedy podcast hosted by Fausto Fernós and Marc Felion, to promote Henson Alternative’s Stuffed and Unstrung in Chicago.  When the topic came to my work, Bristow said, “this person is a walking work of art”.

Feast of Fun – 2011: Year of The Glitter Bomb (guest blog)

On January 11th, 2012, I guest blogged 2011: Year of The Glitter Bomb for Feast of Fun, a Chicago-based LGBTQ comedy podcast and website hosted by Fausto Fernós and Marc Felion.

Civil disobedience took a shiny new twist during the second half of 2011, with a sprinkling of glitter bombings that bedazzled a stunned nation in its wake of sparkles.  Thanks to glitter pranksters, or “the Glitterati”, as they like to be called, the “glitter bomb” hit the mainstream media and glimmered its way into an all but lackluster cultural lexicon.

On January 28th, 2011, I guest blogged for Feast of Fun,  a Chicago-based LGBTQ comedy podcast and website hosted by Fausto Fernós and Marc Felion. I wrote Marsian’s Glossary of Tips and Trends for 2011 in conjunction with my appearance on Feast of Fun # 1319 – Trends and Predictions for 2011 where I predicted what 2011 would be like by looking at the headlines in 2010 and warping them into the future. Growing Up Linda – Fudgie’s Death, Chicago (performance)

 

On May 7th through May 9th, 2010, I performed Fudgie’s Death at Links Hall in Chicago as part of Banners and Cranks: A Festival of Cantastoria, curated by Clare Dolan and Dave Buchen. Fudgie’s Death is a neo-noir segment from Growing Up Linda in which the daughter of a famous ice cream mogul must come to terms with her troubled past. In Fudgie’s Death, I transform table-top pop-up books into full-screen cinema.
