On Sunday, November 6th, 2005, I performed Birthday Trauma, a section of Growing Up Linda at Mad Cow in Orlando.

BIRTHDAY TRAUMA

In Growing Up Linda a woman who believes she’s the daughter of a famous ice cream mogul must come to terms with her troubled past.  

In Birthday Trauma, Linda recounts the events of her fifth birthday when she first started communicating with food.

Mad Cow Theatre is one of Orlando’s most respected professional theatre companies presenting compelling works of theatre for a wide-range of audiences, with a passion for both classic and contemporary plays and musicals representing the best of American and World literature. 

The performances were part of Puppets from the Edge, a cabaret at the first Orlando Puppetry Festival.

The Orlando Puppet Festival exposed Central Floridian audiences to local, regional and national puppet artists.

Ibex Puppetry and Mad Cow sponsored The Orlando Puppet Festival, which brought puppetry to the forefront in Orlando and the Central Florida area, exposing local, regional, and national talent in the art of puppetry.

Ibex  Puppetry is an entertainment company dedicated to promoting the fine art of puppetry in all of its mediums.

The Life & Times of Linda Carvel, Heir to the Throne of the Carvel Cake Empire

Inspired by the self-made gravely voiced TV commercials of Tom Carvel. His company specialized in ice cream cakes, two of his most  popular novelties were, “Fudgie the Whale” and “Cookie Puss”.
