On December 7th + 8th, 2013, I performed an excerpt from Object of Her Affection at REDCAT in Los Angeles.

Object of Her Affection is a solo object and puppet-based performance art piece centered on a woman, who in her search for true love develops intimate relationships with inanimate objects.

In the excerpt, Ashes to Ashes, Rust to Rust, a woman who develops intimate relationships with inanimate objects discovers that the bridge she has come to love has been cheating on her.

PERFORMANCES

The performances were part of REDCAT’s Studio, Fall 2013 Edition. Funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts, REDCAT’s Studio series is an ongoing, interdisciplinary program for new and experimental performance works. This edition of Studio was curated by guest curators Nick Duran and Ayana Hampton, and offered adventurous audiences glimpses of projects by emerging Los Angeles artists.
