On February 9th, 2014, I performed Ashes to Ashes, Rust to Rust, an excerpt from Object of Her Affection at the Bootleg Theater in Los Angeles. In Ashes to Ashes, Rust to Rust, a woman who desires intimate relationships with inanimate objects discovers that the bridge she has come to love has been cheating on her.
The performance was part of Puppetzilla’s Anti-Valentine’s evening of short-form puppetry for adults presented by Puppetzilla, a project of the Los Angeles Guild of Puppetry, that was hosted by Jayne Entwistle. The line-up for included Alan Cook; Marsian De Lellis; Stacey Gordon, Mack Duncan, and Victor Yerrid; Alex Griffin; Alissa Hunnicutt; Kelvin Kao with Janine Pibal; Tim Lagasse, Adrian Rose Leonard, Evan O’Sullivan, Christine Papalexis, Johanna Smith, and Robin Walsh.
