On February 10th, 2007, I screened my short puppet film, Jackson’s Private Zoo at The California Institute for Abnormal Arts in North Hollywood, Angeles. The screening  was part of the Festival of Mirth – The Love Show – an evening of puppet shows, circus acts, and music, curated by Satanica. For this screening, I performed the live soundtrack with Kate Elouise Mallor.

Created in 2005 with Liz Hara, Tim Lagasse, Mark Gale, and Video Anarchy,  Jackson’s Private Zoo celebrates the relationship between a reclusive pop star and a very special monkey.  Jackson’s Private Zoo was previously been screened at Perishable Theatre in Providence during the Fledgling Festival in 2006, and later in Austin Texas during Fusebox for the Not Humanly Possible program in 2009.

Curated by Satanica, and hosted by Spooky Laboo, Festival of Mirth featured puppet shows, circus acts, and music from Dame Darcy with Isaelle, Laura Heit, Gorgeous Larva, Creekbird, The Fuxedos, Flapper Gone Bad Loud Luoisa, DJ Jason Savvy, and art  star, Sandy Pantelones Rodrigues
