Jackson's Private Zoo, Fledgling Festival, 2006

On August 3rd, 2006, my short puppet film Jackson’s Private Zoo screened at Perishable Theatre as part of the Fledgling Festival, curated by Peter Deffet. The Fledgling Festival ran from August 3rd-6th and August 10th-16th, 2006.

Created in 2005 with Liz Hara, Tim Lagasse, Mark Gale, and Video Anarchy at the Eugene O’Neill Center during the National Puppetry Conference,  Jackson’s Private Zoo celebrates the relationship between a reclusive pop star and a very special monkey.  Jackson’s Private Zoo  was later screened at the California Institute of the Abnormal Arts in North Hollywood during the Festival of Mirth and in Austin at the Fusebox Festival.

The Fledgling Festival which was covered by The Boston Phoenix and included works by  Melody Ruffin-Ward, Laura Wood, Jeff Bright, Kevin Delaney, Angela Colford, and Michael Truppi, Evan O’Television; Peter Deffet and Katie Wynne.
